Lab: build a pilot scorecard and sensitivity table

exerciseSelf-paced

Assignment

Use a simulated support workflow with weekly volume, baseline handling time, adoption rate, review time, and operating effort as editable assumptions.

Build sequence

  1. Define three hard gates and three measured improvement targets.
  2. Calculate low, expected, and high adoption scenarios.
  3. Add failure rework and maintenance effort to the time estimate.
  4. Specify the evidence and stakeholder decision required to expand or stop.

Acceptance checks

  • The calculation can be reproduced from the stated assumptions.
  • The scorecard does not equate model accuracy with business value.
  • Simulated savings are never presented as measured customer outcomes.

Evidence to keep

Submit the working artifact or decision document described above, the inputs used, and the observed results for every acceptance check. Include one failed attempt and the change you made after investigating it. Label fixture-based outcomes separately from live-system measurements. These artifacts become part of your final portfolio review.
